A court appearance is scheduled for today concerning a Sussex Police officer allegedly connected to the tragic incident involving 27-year-old Arthur Hölscher-Ermert in Peacehaven on April 30, 2022. The incident, which resulted in the fatal collision between Mr Hölscher-Ermert and a police vehicle, has initiated legal proceedings.
The officer’s identity remains confidential at this stage due to legal restrictions. They are facing a charge of causing death by dangerous driving and are set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 9, 2024. In addition, it has been decided not to pursue charges against a second officer who was initially investigated for potential obstruction of justice.
