A teenager accused of the murder of Lorna Woodnutt has been extended in custody following a video link appearance before Tullamore District Court this morning. Judge Andrew Cody clarified to the accused that the hearing was a procedural formality aimed at extending their period in custody by an additional 14 days.

During the brief session, the teenager was asked if they had any questions, to which they responded with a succinct “no.” This follows the initial appearance last Saturday night when the teenager was charged with murder and subsequently remanded to Oberstown Child Detention Campus.
