A nine-year-old girl who was seriously injured in a collision on King Cross Street in Halifax has tragically passed away. The incident occurred on Saturday, July 8, when a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) on patrol came across the collision at 11:09 am.

The girl was crossing the road on a pedestrian crossing near the junction with Park Road, accompanied by an adult, when she was involved in a collision with a black Vauxhall Corsa. The driver of the Corsa, a 53-year-old man, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail.
