Jacob Hill, 32, faces trial for the brutal killing of Preston dad Gary Carlisle. The victim died a week after being found with serious injuries in March this year.
Man Charged with Murder After Gary Carlisle’s Death
Hill appeared at Preston Crown Court on Monday, September 29, charged with murder. Though he didn’t enter a plea, Judge Graham Knowles KC set the trial for March 3, 2026.
Gary Carlisle, 62, was found injured on Ribbleton Hall Drive, near Moor Nook Community Primary School, on March 12. He was rushed to Royal Preston Hospital but died a week later on March 19.
Blunt Force Injury Confirmed Cause of Death
A post-mortem revealed Carlisle died from a blunt force trauma to the head. Locals in Ribbleton were left devastated by the tragedy.
Defendant Also Faces Assault Charge
Hill, who has no fixed address, remains in custody and will return to court for a plea hearing on November 5. He also faces an additional charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm relating to a second victim from the same incident.
