Arsonist in Blonde Wig Torches Former Workplace in Fiery Revenge

Fakhrul Islam sparked a massive blaze that shut down the Seventy-One Indian restaurant on Breck Road, Poulton, for over a year. The fire broke out in the early hours of 8 December 2024, devastating the venue where Islam once worked.

Dramatic Rescue Amidst Inferno

The restaurant was closed at the time, but the inferno trapped staff and a family living upstairs. Firefighters rushed in to save them from the raging flames as the building suffered severe damage.

Wig-Wearing Arsonist Caught Red-Handed on CCTV

Islam tried to dodge blame, claiming he was driving a taxi on the night of the fire. But police had other ideas. CCTV footage revealed him stalking through Poulton in a blonde wig, the very disguise he used to launch his fiery revenge.
