Thames Valley Police have apprehended two men in relation to a deadly assault on a dog in Slough last month. The arrests were made on Friday at a local address, where officers also discovered a quantity of cannabis.
The suspects, aged 20 and 22, both from Slough, are believed to be connected to an incident that occurred on September 29 around 6.05pm on Burnham Lane. In this incident, a dog, thought to be an XL bully breed, was deliberately attacked and severely injured. Despite receiving emergency treatment, the animal succumbed to its wounds.
Both men have been released on police bail until January next year.

In a separate but related development, a 31-year-old man from Slough was also arrested on Friday on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B controlled drug. He too has been released on bail until January.
