Two men have been charged following a serious assault in Gosport earlier this week. The incident occurred on Monday, 16 September, at approximately 5:20 PM, when police received reports that a man in his 20s had been stabbed in the abdomen and struck over the head with a bottle in an alleyway near Thornbrake Road.
Fortunately, the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening. After conducting investigations, police charged 22-year-old Marc Bache, of Brockhurst Road, and 33-year-old Andrew Lewis, of South Street, both from Gosport.
Hampshire Constabulary has reiterated its commitment to addressing knife crime and reducing drug-related harm within the community. The police are encouraging anyone with information or concerns about individuals carrying knives in their neighbourhood to report it via 101 or through the online reporting tool at www.hampshire.police.uk.
