Two Men Charged Over Brutal Gosport Stabbing

Two men have been charged after a serious stabbing in Gosport on Monday, 16 September. The attack happened around 5:20 PM near Thornbrake Road when a man in his 20s was stabbed in the abdomen and hit over the head with a bottle.

Victim Survives Non-Life Threatening Injuries

Thankfully, the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening. Police launched an immediate investigation and have now charged 22-year-old Marc Bache of Brockhurst Road and 33-year-old Andrew Lewis of South Street, both from Gosport.

Charges: GBH with Intent and Knife Possession

  • Bache and Lewis face charges of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.
  • Both are also charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
  • Lewis faces an additional charge of robbery linked to the incident.

Court Appearances and Police Action

Marc Bache appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on 19 September and has been remanded in custody. He is due back at Portsmouth Crown Court on 21 October. Andrew Lewis remains in police custody and is set to appear before magistrates today.
