A group of offenders from London have been sentenced following a violent burglary at a property in Seaford.
The burglary occurred on 7 January at a home in Coxwell Close. Police reported that two men, Remy Cadoret and Romeo Dankwa, along with a 15-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, forced their way into the property. One of the males was believed to be armed with a knife and assaulted a man inside the home.
On 20 September, Cadoret and Dankwa were sentenced to 42 months in prison at Lewes Crown Court.

Detective Constable Steven Pittman, who was involved in the case, stated, “Sussex Police takes a firm stance on violent offenders and this result shows our commitment to putting those responsible in front of the courts.”
He added: “The group caused huge distress and trauma for the victims. No one should have to suffer a crime of this sort, let alone in their own home. I hope we can bring some peace to the victims now they are behind bars, and I hope this will be a deterrent to those thinking of committing an offence.”
