London Thugs Nabbed After Brutal Seaford Burglary
A violent burglary in Seaford has landed a gang of London offenders behind bars. On 7 January, two men and a teenage boy smashed into a home in Coxwell Close, sparking fear and chaos.
Armed Raid Turns Ugly
Remy Cadoret and Romeo Dankwa, both 20 and from Hackney, along with a 15-year-old boy from Bromley, forced their way inside. One attacker brandished a knife and assaulted a man inside the property. The criminals made off with bank cards, cash, and electronics.
High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash and Arrest
Thanks to sharp police work, Sussex Police quickly tracked the getaway vehicle. A high-speed chase ensued, ending with the gang crashing their car. All three suspects were caught and charged with aggravated burglary.
Justice Served After Three-Week Trial
Brighton Crown Court heard the case from 24 June. The 15-year-old had already pleaded guilty and was referred to a Youth Offender Panel. On 20 September, Cadoret and Dankwa were each sentenced to 42 months in prison at Lewes Crown Court.
Detective Constable Steven Pittman said, “Sussex Police takes a firm stance on violent offenders and this result shows our commitment to putting those responsible in front of the courts.”
“The group caused huge distress and trauma for the victims. No one should have to suffer a crime of this sort, let alone in their own home. I hope we can bring some peace to the victims now they are behind bars, and I hope this will be a deterrent to those thinking of committing an offence.”
