Two suspected drug dealers have been charged after police made arrests in Canterbury

Plainclothes officers in the city centre detained and searched two men after witnessing suspicious activity on the afternoon of Tuesday 25 June 2024.

Both men were then arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and suspected class A drugs were seized, along with cash.

Detectives from Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team have since charged both men with various offences.

Joseph Bademi, 20, of Roseberry Street, Rotherhithe, London, is charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.

Devante Adjetey, 18, of Chalkwell Road, Sittingbourne, is also charged with the same offences, as well as possession of cannabis.

Both men are due to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 27 June.
