British Empire Medal and Cash stolen in Maidstone Burglary

Detectives are investigating a burglary in Maidstone where a quantity of jewellery, cash and a British Empire Medal were reported stolen. The break-in happened at around 3.45pm on Sunday 21 July 2019 at a house in Hillary Road. Two men described as being white, 18 to 24 years old, around 5ft 8in tall and of slim build were reportedly seen acting suspiciously in the area. One of them was wearing navy blue clothing and a bright blue hat with a white band. Investigating officer, Detective Constable Jeremy Chapman said: ‘The property stolen in this burglary was of particular sentimental value to the victims and I would urge anybody with information that may help us recover any of these items to call the appeal line.’ Anyone who has information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Kent Police" id="87030">Kent Police on 01622 604100 quoting crime reference 46/140283/19.
