Police Release CCTV After Shocking Racial Attack in Folkestone
Kent Police have released CCTV images of three men linked to a disturbing racial assault on Folkestone’s Leas and nearby Sandgate beach.
Victims Targeted for Racial Abuse and Violence
On Monday 20 June 2022 at around 5.30pm, a man and woman stepped in after witnessing three men hurl racial slurs at passersby along The Leas. When the man confronted the abusers, he was attacked—and his dog kicked.
At the same time, a family relaxing on Sandgate Esplanade near Earls Avenue were also racially abused. The attackers threw stones, then viciously kicked and punched one family member, who needed hospital treatment.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detectives believe the two incidents are connected and want to hear from anyone who saw what happened. Dash cam footage from the areas could be crucial.
