Man Charged with Murder of Charlene Mills in Manchester
Peter Pitt, 43, from Hyde Road, Manchester, has been charged with the murder of Charlene Mills. The tragic incident took place on Saturday, September 30, on Hyde Road in Gorton.
Pitt is currently in police custody and is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today, Monday, October 2, 2023.

Charlene’s family is devastated. They have paid heartfelt tribute to the 43-year-old, describing her as “beautiful inside and out.” A family spokesperson said, “We are so deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Charlene. She was the perfect daughter and a caring big sister to Amber, embracing motherhood with love for her son Rydell and her beloved dog, Boxer.”
Known affectionately as Char, she was loved for her resilience, kindness, and playful spirit. “The world just won’t be as fun without her,” the spokesperson added. “Our treasured memories of Char are the only little pieces of comfort we have.”
