Officers are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the M2 near Medway.
The incident occurred at around 2:30pm on Sunday, 9 March" href="https://uknip.co.uk/news/uk/March" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="179673">March 2025, when a white Yamaha motorcycle was involved in a collision with a purple McLaren car. Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction on the coastbound carriageway of the M2, between Junctions 3 and 4.
Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, but despite their efforts, the motorcyclist—a man in his thirties—was pronounced dead at the scene.
The McLaren failed to stop following the collision but was later located by police. The driver has since been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody while enquiries continue.
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the investigation and is urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward. Officers are also particularly keen to hear from anyone with footage showing the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision.
