A tragic crash on the M2 left a motorcyclist dead and a driver on the run — until police swooped to make an arrest.
Fatal Smash Between Yamaha and McLaren
The horror unfolded around 2:30pm on Sunday, 9 March 2025. A white Yamaha motorcycle and a purple McLaren were cruising the coastbound carriageway between Junctions 3 and 4 when they collided.
Emergency teams raced to the scene, but sadly, the biker — a man in his 30s — was pronounced dead on the spot.
McLaren Driver Flees but is Nabbed by Police
In a shocking hit-and-run, the McLaren driver sped off after the smash. But cops tracked down the vehicle and arrested the driver, who remains in custody as inquiries continue.
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is on the hunt for witnesses. They’re especially keen on any dashcam footage that shows the crash or how the vehicles were driving just before impact.
