Three suspects have been arrested following a dramatic police pursuit involving a cloned and stolen SUV in Darlaston.
Officers from the Road CrimeTeam spotted the suspicious vehicle, which had been linked to a series of recent offences. Upon attempting to stop the SUV, the driver failed to comply, prompting a pursuit through the area.
The chase came to an end when the vehicle stopped and all three occupants attempted to flee on foot. However, officers quickly moved in and arrested the trio nearby.
Police confirmed that all three individuals were already wanted for various crimes, with one suspect facing no fewer than seven outstanding warrants for offences including multiple thefts and robberies.
A spokesperson for the Road Crime Team said:
“This was a great result by officers who were able to act quickly and prevent further crime. Taking stolen vehicles off the road and arresting those responsible remains a top priority.”
The SUV has been recovered and is undergoing forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
