Three individuals have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, threats to kill, and possession of Class B drugs following a major police operation in Lewisham, south-east London.
Trainee officers from the Metropolitan Police Service uncovered a large weapon during a Section 18 search of a suspect’s home, an authority granted to search premises without a warrant following an arrest.
The arrests and weapon discovery form part of an ongoing investigation into serious violence affecting communities in south-east London.

Investigations Ongoing
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:
Officers-in-training located a large weapon during a Section 18 search after three suspects were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, threats to kill, and possession of Class B drugs.
Officers continue to tackle violence in the south-east.”
Authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the weapon recovered or the identities of the arrested individuals.
