Shock on the River Dee
A grim discovery has rocked a bustling beauty spot in North Wales. The body of a woman was pulled from the River Dee, sparking a massive response from police and fire rescue teams.
Emergency Services Descend
North Wales Police confirmed they received a 999 call at 8:18am reporting a body in the water. Officers arrived alongside the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s Water Rescue Team to handle the tragic situation.
Community Disrupted by Sad Incident
Inspector Andy Kirkham offered condolences, saying:
“Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family at this distressing time.”
He added that the incident caused disruption amid a local food festival, and thanked residents, visitors, and businesses for their patience.
Investigation Underway
Police are working to formally identify the woman. While the cause of death remains unknown, officers say there’s no suspicion of foul play at this stage.
