Amlwch’s streets are safer after Christopher McGrath was locked up for pushing Class A drugs.

Three Years Behind Bars for Cocaine Peddling

Christopher McGrath, 44, from Stad Cae Rhun, Cemaes, was handed a three-year prison sentence at Caernarfon Crown Court on 17 March. He admitted running a cocaine supply ring that plagued Amlwch.

The bust came after a joint operation by North Wales Police and Merseyside Police in December 2025. Cops seized McGrath’s phone, revealing loads of messages selling cocaine from July to December 2025.

Five-Year Criminal Behaviour Order to Keep Him in Check

Besides the jail time, McGrath was hit with a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) designed to stop him from slipping back into drug dealing.

Police Crackdown Promised

Sergeant Dylan Thomas warned: “Drug dealers blight our communities and harm the vulnerable for a quick profit.”

“Our team will keep Anglesey a hostile place for organised criminals, bringing offenders like McGrath to justice.”
