A swan “prisoner” was taken off the streets of Plymouth by police after it caused avian-themed havoc similar to that seen in a hit British comedy film

The bird was spotted waddling around the Harbour yesterday, where it was allegedly removed by a drunk man (February 1).

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the scene at 6.20 p.m., stating that the swan had been involved in a collision on Mutley Plain following its removal from the Harbour. Following that, members of the public reportedly wrapped the swan to keep it from injuring itself, and officers then placed it in the back of the car.
