A concerned resident has issued a public appeal for help identifying a man known only as “Tony” after he reportedly offered to remove unwanted household items – only to dump them in the middle of the road and flee the scene.
The man, believed to be of Irish descent, claimed he was helping clear items such as a fridge and some storage cabinets from a property’s front porch and from neighbouring homes. However, shortly after loading the items, he allegedly abandoned them in a nearby street, causing obstruction and confusion for residents.
“Hey guys, I need everyone’s help to find this man and who he is,” the resident wrote in a now-viral Facebook post. “He offered to remove a fridge from my front porch and my neighbours’ cabins that they were looking to throw away. He then took the fridge and cabins and left them in the middle of the road and ran off.”
The incident has reportedly affected multiple households on the same street, prompting frustration and calls for accountability. Photos shared online show large appliances and furniture carelessly left in a public thoroughfare, posing potential safety risks.
The man is described as having an Irish accent and goes by the name “Tony.” Residents are urging anyone with information about his identity or whereabouts to come forward.
Local authorities have been notified about the illegal dumping. Residents are reminded to use licensed waste removal services and to report any suspicious activity to their local council or environmental services.
Anyone with information about “Tony” or similar incidents is urged to contact the page admin or local authorities.
