E-Bike Rider Hits 75-Year-Old Woman in Brighton, Police Investigate

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and any information following a collision involving an e-bike rider and a pedestrian on Whitehawk Road, near the junction with Manor Road in Brighton. The incident occurred at around 5:15 pm on Saturday, October 19.

The pedestrian, a 75-year-old woman, sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment, though she has since been discharged and is recovering at home. Police officers have been in contact with her to provide an update on the investigation and check on her welfare.

The e-bike rider, believed to be a teenage boy, was not injured in the collision.

As part of their ongoing investigation, Sussex Police are seeking any witnesses or individuals who may have relevant information, including CCTV, dashcam, doorbell, or mobile phone footage of the incident. Anyone who witnessed the event or has potential evidence is encouraged to come forward to assist in the investigation.
