Emergency services called to free person stuck in the Mud in Portsmouth

A major operation involving the two coastguard search and rescue teams from Portsmouth and Hillhead are working with South central ambulance service the Police and Hampshire fire and rescue service to free a person who was trapped in mud at the Mountbatten Centre in Hilsea. Emergency services were called just after 12.30am on Saturday morning. Fire crews from Cosham supported the coastguard in the rescue operation. The Person was safely extricated and transferred into the care of Hampshire Constabulary.
