Emergency services rushed to the scene of a significant fire on Kennedy Road, Barking early  on Friday morning after reports of a building blaze.

There are four fire engines  that have been deployed to tackle the incident, with a 32-metre turntable ladder (TL) requested to assist firefighters on the scene after the blaze beoke out around 8.30am.

Crews are working hard to bring the fire under control. A turntable ladder was deployed to assist with operations, and the road remains blocked for safety reasons.”

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and it remains unclear whether any injuries have been sustained.

No further details have been released at this time, but updates are expected as the incident develops.
