Last night, on Wednesday, November 8, five suspected firearms were found on East Prescot Road in Liverpool. Officers on patrol made the discovery at approximately 20.00 GMT at the junction of East Prescot Road and Somerford Road. The weapons, which included self-loading pistols and ammunition, were found inside a rucksack.
Following the discovery, the firearms were seized by the police and are currently undergoing examination by specialist officers to determine their viability. As a result, a police cordon has been set up in the area, and crime scene investigators are carrying out forensic examinations.
