A man has tragically died after falling from a height on Southwark Street in central London this morning (October 29).
Emergency services, including the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance, and the London Fire Brigade, responded to the scene just before 8 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the man critically injured. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at approximately 8:30 a.m.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated, “Police were called at 8:02hrs on Tuesday, 29 October, to reports of a man who had fallen from height in Southwark Street, SE1. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man was sadly pronounced dead at 08:27hrs.”
Authorities have informed the man’s next of kin, and his death is currently being treated as “unexpected but not suspicious.” A report will be prepared for the coroner to further examine the circumstances.
