A man is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital following a violent attack in Arboretum Park, Derby, where he was struck with a bat. The incident occurred around 9pm on Friday, according to Derbyshire Police.

The 30-year-old victim was reportedly approached by a group of unknown youths in Rose Hill Street before being assaulted with the bat. Following the attack, he was urgently transported to a local hospital where he is now being treated for serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement is urging the public to help in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for this violent crime. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Derbyshire Police directly or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
