A man has been rushed to a major trauma centre after being stabbed near a supermarket car park in Barking on Ripple Road. The incident occurred yesterday evening (August 29), prompting a swift response from emergency services.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) received the call at 7:41 PM, reporting a stabbing near the Lidl store on Ripple Road. Paramedics, along with an incident response officer, were quickly dispatched to the scene. Due to the severity of the situation, London’s Air Ambulance was also deployed to assist in treating the victim.
The man was discovered with serious injuries and was immediately taken to a major trauma centre for further treatment. The London Air Ambulance charity, which was called to the scene, is typically dispatched to assist the city’s most critically injured patients.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service confirmed the details: “We were called at 7:41 PM on Thursday, 29 August, to reports of a stabbing incident in Ripple Road, Barking. We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer, and London’s Air Ambulance.”
The Metropolitan Police are likely conducting an investigation into the incident, but further details, including the condition of the victim and any potential suspects, have yet to be released.
