A murder investigation has been initiated following the fatal stabbing of a man in his 50s in the Farley Hill area of Luton. Police were called to the scene shortly before 2:15 PM on Thursday, where the victim was pronounced dead.
The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire major crime unit has confirmed that the death is being treated as murder. Detective Chief Inspector Nick Gardner stated, “We’re working hard to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death and identify the person responsible.
Residents living along Whipperley Way have been asked to check any CCTV or doorbell camera footage that may assist the investigation. Gardner added that police are pursuing a “number of lines of inquiry.”
“Our thoughts, first and foremost, are with the family and friends of the man who has died in these tragic circumstances,” Gardner said.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police or Crimestoppers.
