Police were called at approximately 3.10am on Tuesday, 26 December to reports of a stabbing in Cranwood Street, EC1.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended a found a man – believed aged 49 – suffering stab injuries. Despite their efforts, the victim died as a result of their injuries.
Enquiries are ongoing to inform his next of kin.
Four people – two men aged 49 and 42 and two women aged 35 and 44 – have been arrested on suspicion of murder; they remain in custody.
