Pilot of East Sussex light aircraft crash has died

The pilot of a light aircraft which crashed near Heathfield in East Sussex on Tuesday morning has died, police have confirmed.

Emergency crews were called at 11:05pm firefighters from Heathfield, Uckfield, Battle  and Wadhurst attended Herrings Lane, Heathfield following reports of a light aircraft crash. Crews used 1 in 7 foam to extinguish the fire. @SECAmbulance & @sussex_police are currently on scene.
