Families and children have been left devastated after an arson attack destroyed play equipment at Queens Park’s play area this morning.
While carrying out routine checks and litter picks, maintenance teams discovered extensive fire damage to the playground equipment. The affected area has since been secured and cordoned off for safety.
He urged anyone with information to come forward and contact Sussex Police on 101.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to assist in identifying those responsible.
For now, families visiting Queens Park will have to wait until repairs are completed to enjoy the play facilities once more.
