Police Appeal for Witnesses After Sexual Assault at Devil’s Point Car Park in Plymouth

Detectives in Plymouth are appealing for witnesses and information following a sexual assault that occurred at Devil’s Point car park on the morning of Friday, 18 April.

According to Devon and Cornwall Police, a woman was sitting in a parked vehicle at approximately 9.45am when she was approached by a man who then sexually assaulted her.

Suspect Description

The suspect is described as:

  • An Asian male
  • In his early twenties
  • Slim build, approximately 5ft 6in tall
  • Wearing dark clothing on his top half
  • No clear description of his lower clothing was available

Officers believe several people were in the car park at the time and are urging anyone who may have seen the incident, or the man in question, to come forward.

Police Investigation Ongoing

A heightened police presence may be seen in the area in the coming days as enquiries continue. Officers are actively reviewing CCTV and seeking dashcam footage from any vehicles that may have been in or around the car park during the time of the incident.

Detectives are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity or interactions in the car park between 9:30am and 10:00am on Friday morning.
