Staffordshire Police are urging the public to remain vigilant following two recent distraction thefts that occurred outside cash machines in Tamworth and Lichfield.

The first incident took place around 11:30 on October 25, when an elderly victim was followed by two men from a charity shop on Tamworth Street in Lichfield. One of the men then distracted the victim inside WHSmith on Bakers Lane and stole her purse.
