Police seal off Southsea toilet block after pensioner robbed

The area around the public toilets at Southsea has been cordoned off after a person was robbed. The scene is being guarded by Police tape and a single Police officer and has been in place since the incident took place this morning (Sunday) It is believed that Police are investigating an assault and a robbery that took place this morning at the Richmond Place public convenience. A 79-year-old pensioner had his wallet robbed. The toilet block is covered by CCTV that is pointing towards the block. A Spokesman for Hampshire Police said : A 79 year-old man was grabbed from behind in the public toilets near Waitrose, Marmion Rd, ‪#‎Southsea‬ at around 10:30am this morning. His wallet containg £60 was taken from his back pocket. A white man, aged in his forties, who was around 6ft tall and was wearing black clothing was seen running away down Stanley Lane.
