Surrey Fire Crews called to Rileys in Guildford with Persons reported

Fire crews from Guildford and Woking have been called to tackle a blaze at Rileys in Haydon Place Guildford with reported on unaccounted and persons trapped. Fire crews are being supported by South East Coast Ambulance and Surrey Police who have closed off part of the the road to assist with the fire fighting operation. A spokesman for Surrey Fire and Rescue said: Fire crews are continuing to carrying out fire-fighting operations on the 8th floor of a multi storey carpark next to Rileys – Incident remaining “Persons reported” – This means members of public are unaccounted for and possibly involved in the fire. Police have confirmed that they have launched an arson probe and are working with Surrey fire. Fire crews extinguished the fire using 2 hose Reels and 4 breathing apparatus – The fire has been classed as deliberate. No one ha been injured. More to Follow
