Police have recovered ten stolen caravans and a horsebox valued at nearly £300,000 in a major cross-county operation targeting rural crime across Sussex and Surrey.
Detective Chief Inspector Kay Hutchings of Sussex Police praised the coordinated efforts, stating:
“Proactive action taken earlier this week led to this timely co-ordinated operation. Our teams successfully identified and seized stolen property with a combined value of nearly £300,000. The caravans will now be returned to their rightful owners, some of whom live as far away as Warwickshire and Northumbria.”
The investigation is ongoing, with police continuing efforts to identify those responsible for the thefts.
