Thames Valley Police have confirmed that post-mortem examinations have been conducted on the three people who tragically died following a fire and structural collapse at Bicester Motion on 15 May 2025.

The victims were identified as firefighters Martyn Sadler and Jennie Logan, and member of the public Dave Chester.

Cause of Death: Multiple Traumatic Injuries

Preliminary post-mortem findings indicate that all three victims died from multiple traumatic injuries, consistent with injuries caused by the collapse of part of a structure during the incident.

Two additional firefighters who were seriously injured in the blaze remain in hospital in stable condition.

Community in Mourning

The incident has shocked the Bicester community and emergency services across the UK. Both Sadler and Logan were praised for their service and bravery. Tributes have poured in from colleagues, friends, and members of the public.
