Two Toddlers Mauled in Shocking Dog Attack in Prescot
Two young boys, aged just two and three, suffered serious injuries after a brutal dog attack inside a home on Johnson Avenue, Prescot, on Thursday afternoon. The horrifying incident happened around 4:00 PM on May 1, 2025. Emergency crews, including Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. Alongside the toddlers, an 18-year-old woman was also injured in the dog attack inside the property. The boys were rushed to hospital with serious arm and leg wounds. The extent of the woman’s injuries has not yet been confirmed.

Merseyside Police confirmed the dog involved was seized from the home. Detectives are scrambling to identify the breed and track down the owner as the investigation heats up.
“This is a shocking incident that has resulted in two toddlers being taken to hospital with serious leg and arm injuries,” said Chief Inspector Phil Thompson. “We are in the early stages of the investigation and are carrying out witness and CCTV enquiries. We urge anyone with information to come forward urgently.”
