West Midlands Police have arrested a man and a woman in connection with a brutal rape in Halesowen – and linked them to a previous attack in Oldbury.

49-Year-Old Man and 65-Year-Old Woman in Custody

The disturbing incident unfolded in Hurst Green Park on the evening of October 16, when a woman in her 30s was attacked. Police were called around 7pm and quickly launched an investigation.

This morning, officers arrested a 49-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman from Sandwell on suspicion of rape. A police cordon remains in place at the park as enquiries continue.

Suspects Also Tied to September Oldbury Rape

Later this afternoon, the same pair were arrested over a second rape on Tame Road, Oldbury, dating back to September 9.
The victim’s family insists they cannot move on until those behind these appalling crimes are brought to justice.
