Police searching for missing man Curtis Davies, 32, from Shildon, County Durham, have found a body believed to be his.

Curtis was last seen on Sunday, 22 June 2025, prompting an extensive public appeal and coordinated search effort across the region.

In a statement shared on Monday, police confirmed the discovery:

“Officers searching for a missing person have found the body of a man. Formal identification is yet to take place, but the body is believed to be that of Curtis Davies, 32, from Shildon.

Curtis’s family has been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

The circumstances of his death have not been confirmed, and police say enquiries are ongoing.
