Body found in search for missing Ashford Pensioner
Officers searching for a missing woman from Ashford have located a body. Kent Police was called to woodland in Mersham at around midday on Wednesday 12 August 2020 where the body of a woman was found. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Formal identification has not yet taken place however the family of a 76-year-old woman who was reported missing from Ashford on Sunday 2 August have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner. Officers would like to thank all those people who shared the appeal to locate her.
