The disappearance of Georgina Gharsallah on March 7, 2018, has left her family in a state of devastation and uncertainty. Fearing that she may have been a victim of murder or sex trafficking, her family has taken on the role of lead investigators in the case, as they discovered a series of alleged failings by Sussex Police.
One of the key alleged failings was the failure to review crucial CCTV footage for over a year. This delay potentially hindered the investigation and the search for Georgina. Moreover, Sussex Police took over 18 months to place her on an Interpol watchlist, further delaying efforts to locate her. Shockingly, nine segments of CCTV footage, which could have been significant, were lost by the police without any explanation.
