Thames Valley Police are urgently searching for a man who fled HMP Springhill near Grendon Underwood. Arthur Salmon, 54, vanished after failing to return to prison on Saturday evening, November 29, 2025.
Prison Escapee Now Unlawfully at Large
Salmon no longer has any legal right to be out in the community and is considered unlawfully at large. The authorities are on high alert to track him down fast.
What He Looks Like & Where He Might Be
- Age: 54
- Height: About 5ft 6ins (168cm)
- Build: Medium
- Features: Black hair, brown eyes, tattoo of a crow on his torso
- Last seen wearing: Black hooded top
Salmon is known to hang around St. Albans and might be driving a grey Seat Ibiza Chill.
Cops Urge Public Not to Approach, But Report Immediately
“We are appealing for the help of the public to trace Arthur Salmon, who is unlawfully at large after not returning to HMP Springhill,” said Police Staff Investigator Evelina Kersyte.
“If you see Salmon, do not approach him and call 999 instead.
