Two Teens Arrested Over Horrific Canal Rape
The terrifying incident happened on Sunday, March 15, by Longford Canal. West Midlands Police wasted no time cordoning off the scene.
They have now charged two teenagers: a 17-year-old boy with rape and an 18-year-old man with sexual assault.
“We have charged two teenagers after a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and raped in the Rowleys Green area of Coventry on March 15,” said a police spokesperson. “An 18-year-old boy has been charged with sexual assault and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with rape. Both are due to appear at Warwick Crown Court on April 15.”
Another Sexual Assault Sparks Manhunt in Oxford
In a separate, chilling case, Thames Valley Police are hunting a suspect after a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted near Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital.
The unprovoked attack occurred around 10pm on January 30 at a car park access road between Saxon Way and Headley Way.
Police have released CCTV of a man they want to question urgently and are appealing for anyone with info to come forward.
