Hounslow Murder Leads To Two Arrests

Police have made two arrests in connection with the death of a man in Hounslow. David Ackerley, 45, was reported missing on Sunday, October 8 and was later found deceased at his residence in Cedar Court, Boston Manor Road.

Authorities have informed Ackerley’s next of kin and are offering support through specially trained officers. A post-mortem examination revealed brain swelling and a bleed on the brain as the primary cause of death.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime division are now leading the investigation. On Thursday, October 1, a 33-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman

were arrested in the Uxbridge area on suspicion of murder and theft. Both individuals are currently in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Geoff Grogan expressed the importance of providing answers to Ackerley’s grieving family. He mentioned that part of their work involves understanding Ackerley’s life, the people he associated with, and any incidents he may have been involved in.

According to authorities, Ackerley had been assaulted outside his Boston Manor Road address on September 30, resulting in a facial injury that required hospital treatment. This incident was already under investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Grogan urged the public to come forward with any information they may have about Ackerley or any incidents he may have been involved in. He emphasised the significance of community cooperation in bringing clarity to this case.
