Police Appeal to Find Man Wanted for Multiple Offences

Metropolitan Police officers have released an image of a man they urgently need to locate following a series of burglaries at mosques across the country.

The suspect, identified as Anthony Cheike, is believed to have stolen large amounts of cash from eight mosques, including one in Manor Park, Newham, East London, over the past year. Authorities describe Cheike as around 6ft 8 inches tall, approximately 55 years old, with a shaved, balding head and stubble.

Cheike was last seen in Mitcham, South London, in May. He is currently wanted for 12 offences, including burglary, bail offences, and failure to appear in court.

Police are urging anyone who recognises Anthony Cheike or has information about his whereabouts to report it online or call 101, quoting 3239/05OCT24.

Anonymous reports can also be made to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
