Search under way for missing Stephen Cooper in Haywards Heath
A search is under way for a man who has been missing in the Haywards Heath area since early Monday evening (June 10). Stephen Cooper, 58, was last seen outside the Birch Hotel in Lewes Road around 7.40pm when it is believed he headed off towards the A272 Lewes Road. He has recently had an operation and is dependent on medication. He is white, 5′ 10″, of medium to large build with very short cropped hair. He was wearing a black jacket, grey jeans and was carrying a brown holdall. Police have been searching the area and a drone has been deployed in an effort to locate him. It is possible that he has sought shelter from the inclement weather and people in and around Haywards Heath are being asked to check garden sheds, garages and similar outdoor buildings in a bid to find him.
