Northumbria Police are urgently seeking witnesses after a severe two-car collision occurred on Sunday at 13.00 BST on the A68 in Bingfield. The collision involved a white Seat and a blue Kia, resulting in critical, life-threatening injuries for two individuals.

Emergency services swiftly responded to the incident, with both the driver of the Kia, a 69-year-old man, and one of his passengers, a 25-year-old woman, airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries. Additionally, a 58-year-old woman and a four-year-old girl, who were also passengers in the Kia, were taken to the hospital with suspected minor injuries. The 23-year-old male driver of the Seat, suffering from minor injuries, was also transported to the hospital.
